What Is Fortnite Crew?
Fortnite Crew is a monthly membership service that gives players access to a collection of premium content and exclusive rewards in Fortnite. Instead of purchasing every seasonal pass or individual cosmetic item separately, subscribers receive several benefits through a single subscription.
What makes this membership particularly valuable is that it goes beyond the standard Battle Pass. It also includes access to the OG Pass, LEGO Pass, and Music Pass, alongside monthly V-Bucks and exclusive cosmetic items.
All Fortnite Crew Benefits Explained
1. Get 800 V-Bucks Every Month
One of the main benefits of Fortnite Crew is the monthly allowance of 800 V-Bucks. These virtual currencies can be used to purchase outfits, accessories, emotes, and other cosmetic items from the Fortnite Item Shop.
Your V-Bucks are delivered on your subscription billing date, and you can keep and spend them whenever you want, even after canceling your membership.
Important: Fortnite Crew previously offered 1,000 V-Bucks per month. The monthly allowance has since been adjusted to 800 V-Bucks.
2. Access to the Battle Pass
Fortnite Crew includes access to the premium track of the current Battle Pass, meaning you do not need to spend an additional 800 V-Bucks to purchase it separately.
The Battle Pass allows you to unlock a variety of seasonal rewards as you progress through its levels, including outfits, harvesting tools, accessories, and other cosmetic items.
Progress is based on earning XP, which you can collect through different Fortnite experiences and supported game modes.
3. Access to the OG Pass
If you enjoy Fortnite's classic atmosphere and nostalgic content, the OG Pass gives you access to rewards inspired by the game's earlier chapters and seasons.
The pass features cosmetic items and outfits inspired by Fortnite's classic era.
4. Access to the LEGO Pass
Fortnite Crew also includes access to the premium track of the LEGO Pass, which offers rewards designed specifically for the LEGO Fortnite experience.
These rewards include cosmetic items, designs, and additional content that help customize your experience in the LEGO Fortnite world.
5. Access to the Music Pass
For players who enjoy Fortnite Festival and its music-focused gameplay, the subscription also provides access to the premium Music Pass track.
The Music Pass features various rewards, including music tracks, cosmetic items, and outfits associated with the available seasonal music content.
6. Exclusive Monthly Crew Pack
One of the most attractive Fortnite Crew benefits is the monthly Crew Pack. Every month, subscribers receive an exclusive outfit along with at least one matching cosmetic item, such as a back bling, harvesting tool, glider, or emote.
These monthly packs are designed specifically for Fortnite Crew members. Once you receive the items, they remain permanently in your account, even if you cancel your subscription later.
This makes Fortnite Crew a great option for players who enjoy collecting exclusive outfits and cosmetic items without purchasing every item individually from the Item Shop.
7. Additional Rocket League Benefits
Fortnite Crew also includes access to Rocket Pass Premium for the current season in Rocket League through the same Epic Games account, subject to platform and eligibility requirements.
Why Is Fortnite Crew Cheaper Than Buying Every Pass Separately?
This is where the real value of Fortnite Crew becomes clear. Instead of purchasing each seasonal pass individually, one membership gives you access to the premium tracks of four major passes.
Here is a comparison showing the value of purchasing the passes separately:
| Pass | Individual Price | Included with Crew |
|---|---|---|
| Battle Pass | 800 V-Bucks | Included |
| OG Pass | 800 V-Bucks | Included |
| LEGO Pass | 1,200 V-Bucks | Included |
| Music Pass | 1,200 V-Bucks | Included |
| Total | 4,000 V-Bucks | One Subscription |
These figures represent the listed individual prices of the passes and may change with future Epic Games updates.
Where Does the Saving Come From?
Purchasing all four premium passes individually would cost 4,000 V-Bucks. With Fortnite Crew, you get access to their premium tracks through a single subscription.
On top of that, you receive 800 monthly V-Bucks and an exclusive Crew Pack, along with other membership benefits. This means the overall value goes beyond the seasonal passes alone.
Is Fortnite Crew Better Than Buying Only the Battle Pass?
The answer depends on how you play Fortnite and which content you enjoy. If you are only interested in Battle Pass rewards and do not care about the other passes or monthly outfits, purchasing the Battle Pass separately may be the more affordable option.
However, if you enjoy multiple Fortnite experiences and want exclusive monthly outfits alongside several premium seasonal passes, Fortnite Crew offers considerably more value.
| Benefits | Battle Pass | Fortnite Crew |
|---|---|---|
| Battle Pass | Yes | Yes |
| OG Pass | No | Yes |
| LEGO Pass | No | Yes |
| Music Pass | No | Yes |
| 800 Monthly V-Bucks | No | Yes |
| Monthly Exclusive Outfit | No | Yes |
What Happens When You Cancel Fortnite Crew?
Canceling your subscription does not mean losing every reward you have previously received. There is a difference between items that permanently belong to your account and benefits that require an active membership.
Rewards You Keep:
- Crew Pack outfits you have already received.
- Accessories and cosmetic items you have claimed.
- V-Bucks already credited to your account.
- Pass rewards you have already unlocked and claimed.
Benefits You Lose After Your Subscription Ends:
- Access to new premium rewards in passes covered by the membership.
- Future monthly Crew Packs.
- Future monthly V-Bucks payments.
- Other benefits that require an active membership.
Outfits and V-Bucks you have already received remain yours. However, you will no longer be able to unlock additional premium rewards that require an active subscription unless you renew your membership.
Can You Get Fortnite Crew Through Xbox Game Pass Ultimate?
Yes. Fortnite Crew is available as part of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate benefits, giving eligible subscribers access to Crew membership benefits through their linked Epic Games and Xbox accounts.
If you already have Game Pass Ultimate, it is worth checking the benefits included with your subscription before purchasing Fortnite Crew separately. This can help you avoid paying for a membership you may already have access to.
Is Fortnite Crew Worth It?
If you play Fortnite regularly and enjoy its different experiences, Fortnite Crew is definitely worth considering, especially if you want access to multiple premium seasonal passes.
The subscription combines monthly V-Bucks, exclusive outfits, and premium passes into one package instead of requiring you to purchase each benefit separately.
On the other hand, if you only play Battle Royale and are not interested in the other experiences or monthly cosmetics, purchasing the Battle Pass on its own may be enough.
Final Verdict
Fortnite Crew is much more than a subscription for the Battle Pass. It is a monthly package that combines several premium passes, virtual currency, and exclusive cosmetics. The more of these benefits you use, the greater the value you get from your subscription.
